Sometimes I remember exactly how, when, and where a story came to me. Sunset at the Red Arrow Grille is such a case.
Susan and I enjoy a good diner. We’ll travel several hours when we hear there’s a good one at a distance, and ask the owners to sign our book of ‘best’ diners.
Sunset at the Red Arrow Grille came about when visiting a diner two towns away, and the spark was the people at the other table in the story. Susan and I often hold hands and receive comments from others.
The wife wanted to know if we were newlyweds. “Yes.”
How long you been married? “About thirty-five years now. Been together forty-one.”
That was a while ago.
Hope you enjoy.
