Family Patterns is a chapter in my forthcoming That Th!nk You Do v2: Romance&Relationships.
That’s the current title based on content.
Or so my editor tells me.
Like many of my That Th!nk You Do pieces, it’s based on years of study in a bunch of related fields (mostly linguistics, psychology, anthropology, sociology, blahdyblahdyblah) and working with people experiencing life challenges.
I’d studied and knew the textbook methods and techniques, and more importantly (to me and those I worked with) knew when they’d either not work or make things worse, hence some of my novel solutions to such challenges.
At least I’m told they’re unique, novel, exciting, and interesting.
When I share them with people still active in the field (? really? They’re still active in the field and experience such low success rates? Perhaps their training and study doesn’t include the self-realization “Maybe I should get out of this game. I’m no good at it, and probably doing more damage than not”).
But I digress.
