I asked fellow Curses anthology contributors to share some things about themselves prior to publication and those generous enough to do so will be appearing here for the next week or so.
Each entry gives a taste of their contribution, a little about them, how to contact them, how their story came about, and definitely a link to Curses (which you should purchase because it would make each and every one of us happy.

And now, Paul Kane’s The Weeping Man:
“What do we do?”
What would anyone do in their position? They had to help, right? They weren’t heartless. Here was a woman who was clearly in distress, looked like she’d been through the wringer to be honest – involved in some kind of accident surely, or maybe she’d been attacked? – so they had to do something.
Looking back, it had been a spectacularly bad decision to come here. But then, it wouldn’t be the first they’d ever made.
How the story came about:
Although I wrote ‘The Weeping Man’ to be read as a standalone, it is in fact a sequel to my story from 25 years ago, ‘The Weeping Woman’ – which was also turned into a short film by award-winning director Mark Steensland, starring Stephen Geoffreys from Fright Night and with music from Fabio Frizzi, who of course provided the score for Lucio Fulci’s famous horror flicks like Zombie Flesh Eaters and The Beyond.
It was very much inspired by my own ‘adventures’ as a kid, racing off on a bike with my mates and investigating paranormal places, which I’ve also done a fair amount of as an adult as well! But also urban myths, including cursed places and their legends.
I hope people enjoy this tale, whether they’re reading it as a continuation of the first one or coming to it new.
