The Words We Use came from a long ago (c2024) conversation between someone massively ignorant of their own culture but who damned well was going to make sure you understood it and a group of people who, it seemed, would rather let someone spout their ignorance than call them on it.
I, of course, chose a different path.
I wrote it up shortly after the conversation, filed it, and discovered it again when looking for writing projects.
