This month’s featured Old One is Snake, in this case, Glorious Sammy.
Our gardens host many snakes, the woods behind our home many more. Often they’ll come out in the warm sun and stretch themselves out, their tongues a’quiver, their eyes bright.
We make it a point when mowing to watch for Old Ones who move through the grass: Snake, Spider, Frog.
We’re careful, and, we hope, gracious.
So far they haven’t indicated otherwise, so we’re good.
