Yes, and it continues – still working on How Jerry and Betty Became the Least Entertaining Couple in the Neighborhood, and yes, still learning from doing so.
I realized how I used character voice – their tone, their language, their vernacular, their behavior while speaking, how they spoke to whom – to demonstrate change in a character over the course of the narrative.
The fact that I knew how to do it without knowing I knew how to do it impressed me.
