Once again, Sammy the Glorious Snake.
Sometimes we come upon our snakes when they bask. Considering the heat of the recent summer, we wonder if it’s not more that they baked.
Do you know not all reptiles, lizards, and not even all fish, are cold-blooded?
Some reptiles keep their internal temperatures at an even keel regardless of external temperature.
Like us, they require lots of fuel to keep their internal fires going.
Thank goodness there’s not any large dinosaurs left, huh?
