Snake gets a bad rap in western cultures.
Not so elsewhere in the world.
Be careful with them, be cautious with them, but do not fear them, associate them evil.
At least no more so than any other creature.
Supposedly the judeo-christian god cursed Snake to forever walk on its belly because it tempted Eve in the Garden.
I so wish people would read the original language versions, or at least unbiased translations, translations free of rhetoric, translations not wanting to sell you anything other than the words on the page.
But no, we’re human, we’re Two-Legs, and we come complete with a set of biases, prejudices, fears, and hatreds.
All learned, though.
None of us came that way out of the womb.
Think about it.
