I have a fondness for Coyote.
They are dogs’ elder brother, wolves’ younger brother.
There are many types of wild dogs, some of which are recognizably dogs, some which aren’t.
Look at a wolf and yeah, that’s a wolf.
Look at a coyote, though, and you’re not sure.
Except they are skittish.
No more skittish than most things in The Wild, and perhaps more recognizably so than most other wild.

Where they’ve learned, when we are outside, they are with friends.
