We each know our place.
Or, more correctly, they each know their place.
Yes, there’s vying and jockeying within their own species. But in the food chain? The lines of predator to prey are pretty much clearly defined by the environment species find themselves in.
Humans, I think, aka Two-Legs, are the only species (I know of) who routinely vie and jockey for position outside their own clade.
And not just males. Everybody knows males engage in such behavior. Females do it, too. They used to do it subtly, now not so much.
Cross gender competition.
The next thing you know there’ll be a switch in sexual dimorphism.
Personally, I can’t wait.
