Rabbits.
The small ones are Rablets.
The newly birthed are Bunlets.
The state of New Hampshire brought some 30k rabbits into the state. No idea why. We had native rabbits. Some people said it was to increase the predator population.
Witness animal husbandry and wildlife management done with no concept of either.
We now have an abundance of predators and few rabbits, which means the predators, being opportunistic, go after pets left outside, senior people walking their pets, toddlers and infants left alone in playpens and trams.
Okay, the latter hasn’t happened yet.
I’m waiting.
All because Two-Leggers solve what’s a problem now with no concern for how an immediate solution may play out long term, or if the immediate solution is best long term.
To be clear, I appreciate some situations require immediate solutions. Injuries, for example. Stop the pain while you’re addressing the wound, as in Principles 22 – If someone is drowning don’t ask them “How wet is the water?” – and 38 – When someone is hanging onto a cliff by their fingernails, don’t ask them if they want to play catch.
Such is why we have triage.
But there’s no triage for stupid.
At least I haven’t found one yet.
