Letters to Donna – 4

Greetings.
By this time tomorrow you will have the first in a series of letters probing the reasons that I am. When I first started to write them I did so not meaning to send them. Once I started I decided that you, of all people, would understand best. And I have wanted to walk with you for a long time. I can’t easily get down to see you so I will resort to correspondence.
Who knows. After a few of these letters you may decide that a fun trip may not be for the best. If they frighten you, remember that such was never my intention.
Since I did start writing to you my other writing has come much easier, and that is most important to me. Without the ability to write I would go crazy. Writing is the only method I have for accurately cataloguing my activities, even if they become exaggerated or camouflaged.
This evening I have to write an article for Black Belt concerning a martial arts school that does not impress me. That is a grotesque understatement. The school was the closest to being a sham I have seen in a long time.
Well, I must get started on that later. There is a chance that I will have to come to the seacoast on business in the next few weeks. Any chance we could get together for dinner or lunch?
Pax.
