This is difficult. I’m over here looking to transplant some saplings to our house in Texas while everyone around me, including the owner of the house we rent from, seems to want to take them down. It’s sad for multiple reasons. Who doesn’t like to take a walk in the woods? Who doesn’t feel peace under the majestic canopy of old standing ones? Who doesn’t feel humbled by them? Protected. It’s sad and reactionary. I feel and share in your pain, brother.
